Here's what I track for each contact:
- Name, LinkedIn URL, company and role
- What I'm hoping to get from the relationship — a sale, a partnership, or a hire
- How we connected (did they comment on a post? cold connection? referral?)
- Where they sit in the pipeline — Connected, Talking, Meeting Booked, Proposal, Won, or Not Now
- What I did last, and what I need to do next — with a due date
- A notes field for anything else that matters
That's it. Simple, honest, and actually usable.
